Thank you for choosing Go Aqua UK!

To ensure your on-site liner installation goes smoothly and avoids unnecessary delays or costs, please read and follow the preparation steps below carefully before our team arrives.

✅ Before We Arrive

1. Liner Lock or Chase Preparation

  • Ensure top-fix liner lock is fitted OR

  • A 20mm deep chase is cut beneath coping stones.

2. Pool Shell Readiness

  • Remove old liner (if not included in your quote).

  • Jet wash and chlorine wash the pool shell.

  • The pool must be dry and clean for our arrival.

  • Ensure the shell is free-draining:

    • Drill holes at 2m intervals around the perimeter base.

    • Add extra holes in the deep end (avoid pipework).

3. Fittings & Accessories

  • All pool fittings (inlets, skimmers, lights, etc.) must be installed.

  • Provide new gaskets and faceplates on-site for our team.

  • Remove and replace any defective fittings in advance.

  • Note: We are not responsible for fixing poor-quality fittings unless quoted separately.

4. Surface Preparation

  • Ensure all loose screed or render is removed.

  • Re-screed and re-render using:

    • A proper bonding agent.

    • A 4:1 sharp sand/cement mix, especially on slopes and edges.

  • Screed must be strong enough to allow 26mm expanding rivet fixings.

5. Pipework & Drainage

  • Pipework must be pressure-tested to SPATA standards before our arrival.

  • Adequate groundwater management is required:

    • We cannot be held responsible for groundwater pressure behind the liner.

    • If water buildup displaces the liner, repositioning may incur charges.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Liner joins and seams will be visible due to the welding process.

  • Patterned liners may not align perfectly at all joins.

  • Liner detachment caused by groundwater is not covered.

  • Slow filling may cause creasing – arrange for rapid filling on completion.

  • Disposal of old liner is not included unless quoted separately.
