Congratulations on your new hot tub!
To help you get ready for delivery and installation, we’ve put together this simple guide to ensure everything goes smoothly — and you’ll be relaxing in bubbles in no time.
✅ Quick Checklist
Before your hot tub arrives, here’s what you need to have ready:
- A firm, level base that supports the weight of the tub
- Clear access route for delivery
- 32-amp power supply with RCD and isolator (2m from tub)
- Hosepipe within a few metres for filling
- Safe drainage option for emptying water
- Access around the sides for future servicing
1. Choosing the Right Base
Your hot tub needs a solid, level surface to sit on — it’s heavy when full of water!
Recommended options:
Concrete slab
Patio paving (evenly laid)
Reinforced decking (professionally installed)
Spa pads or prefabricated bases
Tip: Avoid grass, gravel, or soil — these can shift over time and cause damage.
2. Preparing for Delivery
We deliver hot tubs using spa dollies, wheeled trollies, or cranes — depending on access. Please check:
Minimum access width: 900mm (more is better!)
Height clearance: 2.2m or more (watch out for door frames, archways, trees, etc.)
Tight corners or steps? Let us know in advance.
Crane lifts: If a crane is needed due to access issues, we can arrange this with our partners — just ask us for advice!
3. Power Supply Requirements
Most of our hot tubs require a 32-amp power supply:
Fitted with an RCD (residual current device)
An isolator switch positioned 2 metres away from the tub
Cable and supply installed by a qualified electrician before delivery
Important: We don’t handle electrical installation, so please book this with a certified electrician ahead of time.
4. Water Supply & Drainage
Your hot tub will be filled using a standard garden hose, so make sure:
A hosepipe can reach the hot tub location
The water supply is working and accessible
When it’s time to empty the tub, ensure you have a drainage plan — especially important if you’re in a paved or enclosed space. You’ll need to direct large volumes of water away from your property safely.
5. Access for Maintenance
Hot tubs need access on all sides for servicing — especially around the control panel and pump area.
Make sure you leave:
At least 50–60cm clearance on serviceable sides
A way to easily remove panels if needed
Avoid placing it right up against fences or walls
Planning decking or fencing around your hot tub? Build in removable panels or access points.
6. On Delivery Day
We’ll confirm a delivery date with you in advance. On the day:
Ensure access is clear (move bins, vehicles, etc.)
Make sure your base is finished and ready
Ensure the electrical supply is complete and safe
Have a hosepipe ready to fill the tub
Our team will position your hot tub and talk you through getting started. We’re also happy to answer any questions about water care, chemicals, and ongoing maintenance.
